Plain terms for a small app.

First Almanac is sold and operated by Fisk LLC, a Rhode Island limited liability company. Using the app means accepting these terms.

What it is

A record, and a reference.

The app stores a record you create and displays general information compiled from published sources. It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, does not treat, does not monitor a condition, and does not direct care. It is not a substitute for your pediatrician, and it is not an emergency service — if something is wrong, call your clinician or emergency services.

Reference material in the app, including the immunisation schedule, dosing charts, storage times and the guide pages, is general information written from the sources named on each page. Guidance changes. Verify anything that bears on a decision against the named source and against your own clinician.

Your record

It is yours, and it is your responsibility.

You own everything you put in. We never receive it, so we cannot access, restore, migrate or delete it for you. Keeping backups — exported files, device backups — is yours to do. We are not liable for a record lost with a device.

Payment

One purchase.

First Almanac is free to download and free for 30 days. After that, a single purchase of $49.99 unlocks the guide, the reference charts, the keepsake books and PDFs, the pediatrician summary, the growth curves, and additional children. Recording your child's record, and saving that record out to a file you keep, never require payment.

There is no subscription, now or later. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, not by us.

The legal part

Warranty and liability.

The app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fisk LLC's total liability arising from the app is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Rhode Island.
